We are contemplating a move to a PvE server. For transfer details, please go to www.wow.com (account section). Cost is $25 US per character, you will retain all your honor, money, bank and bags.

This guild will stay on server for people who can't/don't want to transfer across, and we will start another branch on the new server.

Decision will be made on 31st of May, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. feel free to voice them here. Alternatively, you can contact Pechochi, Nysalor, Karmavaldez, Dariela or myself in-game.

We are trying to take into account what is fair and right for all guildies, and I know a bunch of us are fed up with PvP. We are also aware that there are people who aren't going to be able, or are not going to want to transfer over. That's cool too, and that's why AC will not be disbanded.

I think that the majority of us who are transferring are only transferring our mains (for now, anyways) and leaving our alts on Dark Iron. I know that Dariela and myself will be doing this, and Pechochi will stay on the server as the Guild Leader. So we will still be around.

Please let us know what you-all think about this...

Its also a question that our current active guildies count is very low ( under 5 per night ). Having no recent luck with recruiting we hope that this main caracter transfer will benefit us in the best way. Like Aldys said Pechochi will remain as guild leader in AC while i transfer miriandis as guild leader for the new one on Hyjal. We arent forcing you to move. its all up to you. i know that for some paying 25$ for a server transfer is a lot.

Awesome. I just started a blood elf warlock, can't remember her name at the moment but I'll friend you next time I'm on. :)

You should start an ally toon, too. ;)

howdy,

just wanted to step in and support the server move.

i will miss world PvP to a certain extent but the truth is that i have little enthusiasm for ganking and even less for being ganked.

also, Aldys has friends on the new server; most of them are climbing up the ladder to 70 and i hope that they will provide more opportunities for us to do the regular 70 instances (which we are geared for). :)

you can still do world PvP via the battlegrounds. and like you i don't harbour any interest in ganking or being ganked.

I was speaking to our guild leader on Hyjal yesterday and he told me that he is quite happy to merge the guilds together, if that is what people wish to do... He would give you officer privileges, and welcomes the input into running the guild.

If this is the way we decide to go, I just want to say that the guild that we are a part of on Hyjal is fantastic. There is always someone online, and always someone willing to help out. Apart from our beloved Amazon Queen, Beodragon is the nicest (and most sensible!) guild leader you could hope for.

Something to think about, anyway. =)

This is by no means a complete list, but:
Pro:
No more ganking--as a Guild we don't seem to be very interested in "World PvP" anyway.
Potential Recruiting--New server may prove a more fertile ground for recruitment than Dark Iron has lately.

Con:
Splitting the Guild--not everyone can make the move. At $25 a character, I would at best be able to move 2 of my characters.
Loss of Resources--all that stuff we've built up into our Guild Bank is stuck on Dark Iron.
Brain drain--If the majority of our Level 70's move over that will leave those "left behind" in Dark Iron without a significant resource.

I'm still of two minds on this, which is why I haven't voted yet. This has the potential to revitalize the Guild or completely destroy it. It's defninately worth some more thought.

Personally I think the AC has a particularly unique identity and I have to wonder how that would survive in a merger.

To be fair I don't know a thing about your Hyjal guild, hell I don't even know it's name. I have a Draenei Mage on Hyjal named Catumandua. I'll try and be on tonight and/or tomorrow night, so if I could get a Guild invite and check things out that'd be cool.

Again, I'm not trying to poo-poo the idea. The main reason I play WoW is to play with friends, so more friends equals more fun as far as I'm concerned. I just don't want to lose what we currently have in the translation.

Ken

You could start a character on Hyjal... I know that Dariela and I are definitely transferring to Hyjal, I've promised my friends and our Hyjal guild (Dragon Kings, by the way) that we will and I don't want to back out of that.

And by the same token I don't want to insist that the rest of the guild go to Hyjal.. I guess that one's still up for discussion.

If you all decide to transfer to a server other than Hyjal, D and I will have to start fresh characters... We just can't afford to transfer more than one toon each at the moment.

But I do miss you terribly, Jara. Which server are you on now? I might come start a character there....

I have thought about karma's analysis and here are my thoughts:

Right now we are a vanishingly small guild. Despite pech's best efforts, we haven't really recruited many people. I think we are afraid to change the character of the guild by recruiting, because a flood of new people would change the guild. But without new people, the guild won't grow--a vicious circle.

I think we need to take some risks in order to preserve something of the guild's character. Perhaps this merger might be the best option. Again, how many people/toons are we talking about here? My guess is that there are roughly 10 players who are regular members. Either we do something to keep the guild spirit alive or maybe lose it entirely.

A thought or two....

OK, I went ahead and voted Yes. Mostly because while it is an incredible risk, it seems like the future of the Guild relies on us doing something incredible now.

It honestly seems to me that Dark Iron is saturated with Guilds, so the competition for members is pretty intense. Particularly since we're not a Raid Guild.

I've hung out with the Dragon Kings on Hyjal for the past couple of days. They are quite cool. They are small but pretty well organized and socialable.

Hey there Jara. Thanks for the invite, but as has been pointed out we can't afford too many moves as it is and Dar and Aldys pointed out Hyjal first. When I clean up some of my alts on other servers I may just make one on yours so I can say Hey once in a while.

Anyway, that's all I can think of now. If I have any other thoughts I'll let you all know.
