Plot thickens.
Have to admit, I wonder if Toat is lying to BG, there; I'm afraid something terrible might be about to happen to the ship.
...but it's also a little more likely that something terrible is about the be simulated on the ship as a distraction. Either way.

What if Toat doesn't know about how much damage the ship has and her simulated bad becomes real bad. That bit with the hole in the fusion reactor sounds like a setup to "But I didn't know that would happen if"
